Dog Policy

We are delighted to welcome well-behaved dogs at Cot Valley Hideaway.

To ensure all guests, neighbours, wildlife and animals can enjoy the site safely and comfortably, we ask that dog owners observe the following conditions.

Dog Charges

Glamping Pods: £18 per dog per stay

Lodge Accommodation: £40 per dog per stay

A maximum of two dogs per booking is permitted unless agreed in writing prior to arrival.

Dogs Must Be Kept on a Lead

We have free-roaming animals on and around the site, and wildlife is abundant throughout the valley. For the safety of your dog, our animals, livestock, and local wildlife, dogs must be kept on a lead at all times whilst on the property.

Livestock and Wildlife

Dogs must not be permitted to chase, worry or disturb livestock, wildlife or other animals.

Any dog that chases livestock, wildlife or other animals must be immediately restrained and will be required to leave the site.

Noise and Behaviour

We aim to provide a peaceful environment for both guests and neighbours. Dogs that bark excessively, are aggressive, or otherwise cause a nuisance to other guests, neighbouring properties, livestock or wildlife are not suitable for the accommodation.

We reserve the right to ask guests to remove a dog from the site if its behaviour is causing disturbance or concern.

Cleaning Up After Your Dog

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their dogs at all times.

Dog waste must be picked up immediately and disposed of in the appropriate bins. Dog waste bags must not be left on paths, around the site, or discarded in hedgerows, fields, woodland or any other natural areas.

Furniture and Bedding

Dogs are not permitted on beds, sofas or other furniture. We kindly ask owners to bring suitable dog bedding and blankets for their pets. This helps us maintain high standards of cleanliness and comfort for all future guests, including those with allergies.

Dogs Must Not Be Left Unattended

Dogs must not be left unattended within the accommodation or elsewhere on the property unless prior agreement has been obtained. This helps prevent excessive barking, distress and damage.

Damage and Additional Cleaning

Guests are responsible for any damage caused by their dog during their stay.

We reserve the right to charge for the repair or replacement of any damaged items, fixtures, furnishings or equipment, together with any additional cleaning required as a result of excessive dog hair, mud, stains, odours, fouling or other dog-related issues beyond normal use.

Right to Refuse or Cancel Dog Bookings

We reserve the right to decline or cancel bookings involving dogs where we believe the dog, number of dogs, or circumstances of the booking are unsuitable for the accommodation or environment.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in the booking being terminated without refund.
