Facilities, rules, dogs, etc – Things to know before you book
Tranquility
Cot Valley Hideaway is a place to relax and enjoy the natural surroundings. It is not suitable for loud parties or rowdy gatherings such as stag or hen weekends (we live on site with our four children). We do not allow portable stereos / outdoor music devices on site, and we kindly as guests to keep noise to a minimum after sundown. If you are looking for a more lively place to stay, we are happy to recommend some alternatives.

Dog Policy
For exclusive hire bookings (in the XXX or either of the two cabins), we allow well behaved dogs (maximum of two in the XXX, and one each per Cabin). Dogs must be kept on a lead due to other pets and livestock living on site. For the comfort of future guests, dog owners are asked not to allow their dogs on ANY sofas or beds. For the consideration of our neighbours we cannot accommodate dogs that bark excessively.

Rennovation
For those who stayed at the old YHA building, there are a lot of changes, many of which are ongoing. The main building and some of the garden is currently closed to the public for full refit and renovation (we are living on site whilst this takes place). The brand new accommodation adjacent to the old building has its own gardens, beach path and parking. We envisage that the old building will be ready for the summer of 2028.
